Asus
has today announced the availability of the Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 (ZC553KL)
in India. Priced at Rs 17,999, the smartphone will be available from
online, as well as through offline channels. The device was launched
along with its smaller sibling Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520TL) in November,
which is priced at Rs 12,999. Both the variants of Zenfone 3 Max comes
in titanium gray, glacier silver and sand gold colour options.
Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) sports a metal unibody design and comes with a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) 2.5D curved glass display. On the hardware front, the device is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphone is backed by a 3 GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
The major highlight of the smartphone is its powerful 4100mAh battery, which the claims to deliver up to 38 days of standby time and 17 hours of VoIP talk time on 3G network. The device also supports reverse charging, meaning that it can act as a power bank to charge other devices as well.
On the camera front, the Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) flaunts a 16-megapixel primary camera with PDAF, laser autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, Dual LED flash, while on the front there is an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies and video chats. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow wrapped under ZenUI 3.0 OS.
On the connectivity front, the Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), WiFi Direct, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/AGPS, USB OTG support, ICEpower enhanced Mono Loudspeaker and Dual Microphone with noise cancellation. The smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor, which the company claims can unlock the phone in just 0.3 seconds.
